photo

I am an associate professor at UCL Linguistics. I completed a PhD in Linguistics at the University of Chicago and previously held postdoctoral positions at MIT and Stanford University. I am primarily interested in syntax and its interfaces. Most of my research focuses on Malayo-Polynesian languages and indigenous languages of the Caucasus.

Research interests: argument alignment, polysynthesis, ergativity, fieldwork methodologies, case and licensing, syntactic locality, linguistic typology.
